Lyrical Lemonade

Lyrical Lemonade has been one of our favorite clients in the last decade. Starting from a simple website rebuild, we have continued working with the LL team to help them build out their digital empire even further.

3D Website

When we first started the conversation with Cole & the team, we realized they wanted to go big, and really make some waves with their new website. From a technical standpoint, I knew SEO would be an issue because their old site was a WordPress host with over 10k pages. That means a lot of keywords.

As we started iterating on 3D models and environments, I started building out a strategy for how we would approach maintaining all of these keywords with 0 on-page text.

video player

Like our work with Loneworld, we put a lot of emphasis on our in-website video player. For directors like Cole, it’s important to bring their videos away from hosting platforms and let them live in their own spaces. In this player, users can watch and select videos in the menu and they will auto play right on the “Lemon Boy” screen. hell yea.

Beyond those features, the 3D website is meant to be a landing page for all of the arms inside of Lyrical Lemonade from the store, to the drink to the festival. Now we will talk a bit about the blog, and our process for migrating 80K+ keywords.

Lyrical Lemonade Blog Rebuild

This blog has a lot of history stored in it. One of my biggest fears in this rebuild was losing any historical content, making certain pieces of music history connected to LL lost forever. The original blog was hosted on WordPress, but was having security flaws since it wasn’t being properly updated. Our first approach was to get the blog up to date, but after a bit of testing we realized it was too far gone and we needed to rebuild on a fresh instance of WordPress.

We felt like it was important to keep with WordPress because of how much historical meta data was archived. The next process was migrating the 10K posts from the old server, to the new instance of WordPress, all while maintaining images, URL structure, and a nice design across each page. Fun!

SEO!

After migrating all the posts and successfully going live, we did tight monitoring on SEO over the next few months to ensure the 3D site and the blog site would work well together. We experienced no hiccups in going live with the 3D site, and even expanded our keywords by 10% in the first 3 months of migrating. This was mostly due to improved site structure on the new WordPress and setting up Google search console.

After almost a year of launching the 2 sites, we started to work on the Drink Lyrical website as the beverage arm in their company. With my extensive experience in consumer goods, we proved to be a great help in getting the products easily accessible to users across socials and email.

Beverage Website Build

The Lyrical Beverage officially launched in 2024, and we helped launch the flagship website where users could buy online only. With retail at Amazon and Walmart, we used the site across socials and advertising to lead users to key retail points .

Store Locator

Like any CPG, store locators are essential in leading users directly to stores where they can purchase. With 7-11 as the primary retailer to start, we built a custom store locator that spanned across 15+ states.

We worked with the design team and Lyrical to customize every aspect of this website and to make it highly effective for Google search. With many online retailers reselling their product, maintaining a #1 rank for branded keywords is essential.
